Faye's charity (VILA: Veterans Independent Living in Albuquerque), houses homeless and psychologically unwell veterans. In addition to her charity that provides for psychologically disabled veterans, Faye also operates an assisted living facility for the elderly. She extends the same care, love and also attention to the elderly residents and their families as she provides for the veterans, and, without ever getting personal payment. Faye has received numerous letters of recommendation from families thanking her for providing outstanding service to their loved ones while in her care. Several Geriatric Physicians in the Albuquerque area, place Faye's assisted living facility at the top of their recommendation list. Her track record is without question and she is beloved in the area.

Faye Janzad, while working with Zipora Birnberg, a Holocaust survivor, pictured here to the right, Faye found a wish that came to be a vision for helping those who struggle with PTSD and also mental illness. She took on working with Zipora as a personal project. She could not accept that Zipora's anxiety and also mental illness could not be overcome. Through receiving genuine love from Faye for six years, Zipora's life changed and the gift of working with the emotionally sick blossomed into the Veterans Independent Living of Albuquerque (VILA).
